Read My Lips - Man in the Mirror

Azmin Ali, Deputy President of PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) cum Minister of Economic Affairs in Malaysia, was allegedly caught in a video when he was having homosexual act with a younger man. Although he belongs to Pakatan Harapan key members, he is not one of the cleaner leaders. Some people may not care about his sexual preference but many care why there were many young men who got rich in recent years in Azmin's constituency when he was the Menteri Besar or Chief Minister of the state.

He is known to be a master of political maneuver. He has been calling for investigation into the perpetrator who has produced and distributed the video. Of course, he has denied that the older man in the video is him. The video has been confirmed by Malaysian Multimedia and Communication Commission as authentic and not edited. You can see his response when he is asked about the video:

Is this a response of a typical innocent man? You can see that he is fighting hard to hold back his emotion and remain as cool as possible on surface. His troubled face perhaps has given away a lot about the truth.

For those who wonder how he has come up with 'man in the mirror', please watch the below song by the late Michael Jackson:

As regards 'read my lips', it was made famous by former American president, George HW Bush in 1988:

Azmin has really not come up with any original catchy phrases.

Malu Apa Bossku ?

Few Malaysians were suprised when the former prime minister Najib Razak was against the new government's move to require Members of Parliament (MPs) to declare their assets. He quoted that there are MPs with other sources of income, noting that some are lawyers or architects, earning salaries from other works.

It is agreed that many MPs were or are still professionals who have income from their professional careers. They can safely declare those assets, acquired with various sources of income, to the the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission. There is nothing sinister about rightful sources of income and assets. The declaration is necessary as MPs are bearers of public office. This declaration will serve as a deterrent to these MPs from committing corruption whereby the source of income is illegal.

Why is Najib Worried?

As a self-proclaimed Bossku, he is not a professional or a corporate figure with other sources of income. He should be least bothered by this declaration. He may be a caring MP who likes to speak for other MPs, but no MPs with other sources of income are complaining.

Perhaps, Najib has reasons to worry about his assets which may not come from rightful sources of income. For 1 man who has claimed to receive RM2.6 billion donation from a Saudi royalty, he is a self-made billionaire by way of purely 1 donation. This is legitimately exemplary, is it not?

He has nothing to fear. His wealth is well-known in the country and the rest of the world. There is no security risk to worry about. This self-proclaimed Bossku has been going places to campaign and give speeches safely for the past years. Go ahead Najib! Tell us your wealth. We love to hear from you on this.

For Taman Rimba Kiara with Love

Malaysia needs more leaders and politicians like this:

Even after the historic change of government on 8 May 2018, there are still too many politicians who are 'corrupt', 'semi-corrupt' or easily 'corrupted' in Malaysia. Hannah Yeoh has stood tall and outstandingly as a fearless politician who rejects corruption and stand up against the corrupted ones.

Her down-to earth-way of speaking and detailed explanations have won her applauds in her rebuttal against one newly 'corrupted' leader from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah). See how her rebuttal put this Amanah leader, who is also a brother of another well-known corrupted Umno leader, to shame:

Some further details can be seen in the below video:

Remember- Hannah Yeoh was well loved in Subang Jaya constituency. Her farewell speech was filled with tears of the Subang residents. Few politicians in Malaysia had demonstrated such ability to capture the heart of the crowd. She did it with her sincerity. Please watch this:

At the same time, she attracted huge crowd in Segambut constituency, that includes Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI), Hartamas, Bukit Damansara, Segambut, etc., when she delivered a heartfelt speech at TTDI. You can see why the people love her. No flare - No Glamour - Pure sincerity...

One Small Step for Me, One Big Leap for Malaysia

9th of May 2018, Malaysians collectively voted out Barisan Nasional (BN) that had been in power for 61 years. BN was a ruling coalition dominated by Umno (United Malays National Organisation). Umno was a political party playing with the insecurity of the Malays, that has the highest population, and using short term handouts to lure voters to maintain power. On that day, Malaysians including many Malays, despite their fear of the threats by other ethics, especially Chinese descendants, helped each other to vote out BN.

That was the right step in the right direction for Malaysia to get rid of corruption and abuse of power perpetrated by BN/Umno. Many Malaysians did not realise that was only the first step in the right direction. Many of them were having too high a hope that everything would be fine once BN was out of power. They forgot that the mess, including many billions of loans BN had taken up on behalf of Malaysia, must be repaid by Malaysia (new or old). Malaysians did not benefit from those loans as most of the money had been siphoned to enrich the Umno leaders, in particular the former prime minister, Najib Razak.

Practically each adult Malaysian had a wishlist to be fulfilled by the new Pakatan Harapan (PH) government. With almost 23 million working adults in the country, there are easily 23 million of wishlists to be fulfilled by the new government. Some wanted the wishlists to be fulfilled within days. For they thought all would be fine, with the new government elected.

Wishful Malaysians have to wake up to the reality that fixing a host of problems after 61 year is not successfully completed by electing a new government per se. It is just the first of the many hundred, if not thousand, steps to be taken. The new government have to work hard to fix the problems one by one. It takes time and perseverance.

Malaysians should realise that it would be a big achievement for Malaysia, if the PH government can reduce corruption by 50%. Mind you that corruption had been on the rise throughout the 61 years of BN in power.

Malaysians should not feel disgruntled because their long wishlists had not been fulfilled after one year and fall back to the traps set up by BN in its attempt to regain power. BN will reinstate corruption and Malaysia will absolutely be bankrupt beyond repair in the hands of BN for another 5 years.

Just look at the wealth of Rosmah, the wife of Najib Razak. If this was not corruption, what was??  Read the below article:

Jho Low - Admission of Crime ?

When the enforcement of existing well established laws by an attorney general, who has a strong reputation for pursuing justice since his many years of private legal career, is deemed to be discriminating against you. Perhaps, you are admitting that you are a criminal. This is exactly the case of Jho Low crying foul over the enforcement of well established laws, that have been in existence for years, against him.

You can read about the press release by his lawyers while he is still in hiding. Malaysians have this to tell this self-proclaimed billionaire and prince of Penang, Malaysia, "Dear Jho Low, come out of hiding like a man and engage the best lawyers for yourself and family to prove your innocence. After all, you are allegedly still holding on to the illegal money and living in luxury. We are waiting for the day that you are vindicated (or imprisoned). Don't make noise in comfort and leave your parents to face the process of Malaysian legal system"

You can read the news reported by the Edge news publications below:

KUALA LUMPUR (March 29): Low Taek Jho, or better known as Jho Low, through a spokesman from his legal team, said the latest move by the government to freeze his father Tan Sri Larry Low Hock Peng's seven bank accounts shows that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's "regime" is harassing his opponents.

"After the government was attempting to suddenly summarily seize our family home of 20 years, which the many governments in over a decade have not, the Mahathir regime is now seeking to freeze bank accounts purportedly linked to his (Jho Low's) father.

"(This) clearly demonstrate the regime's persistent strategy of harassment and political persecution against their perceived opponents by any means necessary.

"Once again, the Mahathir regime has ignored the rule of law, and in a clear abuse of power is seeking to exploit the AG's office and police force to attack opponents and do Mahathir regime's personal bidding," the spokesperson said.

This, he added, is yet another example of the Mahathir regime's trial by media.

"This is further evidence that it is simply not possible to receive a fair trial in Malaysia," he added.

Yesterday, theedgemarkets.com reported the government has filed a forfeiture action seeking to freeze seven of Hock Peng's bank accounts and recover RM48 million which is believed to be from 1Malaysia Development Bhd.

"Three of the seven bank accounts are said to be fixed deposit accounts.

"We believe the monies were transferred from foreign companies that is said to be done by Jho Low," a source told theedgemarkets.com.

The civil forfeiture application was reportedly filed yesterday at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, under Section 56 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001, that this would allow the government to forfeit the property without a prosecution.

Malaysian Politics - New Reality

Pakatan Harapan (PH) that swept into power on 9th May 2018 general election (GE14) in Malaysia suddenly felt helpless after losing 2 by elections consecutively in Cameron Highlands, Pahang and Semenyih, Selangor. PH held a 9,000 majority in Semenyih in 2018 and lost it to a 2,000 majority by Umno in 2019. A reversal of 11,000 votes.

Many analysts put forward numerous reasons for the loss.  Some called it Malay Tsunami, while others said it was the rise of Malay right wing. These can all be true. Umno and Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (Pas) are deemed as right wing parties now that announced their agreement to collaborate formally on 5th March 2019.

In my humble opinion, United Malay National Organisation (Umno) lost GE14 in Malaysia because of its former president, Najib Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor. The corruption level of Najib and Rosmah was highest imaginable by Malaysians, especially those involving the investment arm of Malaysian government, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). They were resolutely rejected by the middle class, urban and semi-urban Malays.

However, the middle class and semi-urban Malays did not reject Umno per se. In fact, they still felt Umno was the party which could uphold Malay rights and protect Islam. The right wing Malays have never left Umno even in GE14.

At the same time, the lower income Malays and rural folks still believed in Umno to give handouts and protect Islam. They never hated Najib, and in fact adored him for his breadcrumb handouts. They now miss Najib for PH's lack of handouts.

Liberal Malays, and the rest of Malaysians must be patient in pushing for reforms. Many middle class Malays genuinely feel threatened by the unity of non-Muslims which helped PH gain power in GE14. Care for their feeling and fear when you lots push for reforms to make Malaysia better. PH is still the better choice, despite all its shortcomings. It is not ideal but it is still the best that the people have.

Imagine a situation where PH loses GE15 to see Umno and Pas come into power in 2022. It is world class corruption and lies all over again. Malaysia simply cannot withstand another big corruptive blow by Umno and Pas.

Umno, BN and weak Wee

Barisan Nasional (BN) or National Front is a political coalition led by Umno (United Malays National Organisation), with its other members comprising MCA (Malaysian Chinese Association) and MIC (Malaysian Indian Congress). BN used to have 13 component parties and ruled Malaysia for 61 years before the coalition lost the general election on 9 May 2018 last year. A slew of component parties left BN in the aftermath of the general election and BN has since been reduced to its original 3 component parties.

MCA can be seen as the most embarrassing component party in BN now. It's president, Wee Ka Siong, has to appeal to Umno to not call for official BN coalition meeting because he is not able to face the MCA members who have passed a resolution to dissolve BN. BN's acting chairman, Mat Hasan confirmed on 7 February 2019 the reluctance to call for BN coalition meeting because of MCA.  In fact, MCA members wanted the party to pull out of BN, but its president compromised with them for a resolution to call for the dissolution of BN in MCA's annual general meeting last year.

Dissolution of BN will not happen as Umno, being the largest and the most dominant party within BN, has no reason to dissolve it. MCA  is really just a 'mosquito party' in BN. It is believed that Wee wishes to cling on to BN for financial benefits or perhaps Wee, in his weak characteristics, does not know how to lead a 'life' without the help of Umno. He won the parliamentary seat of Ayer Hitam, Johor in the 2018 general election because of the votes of Umno supporters.

It is utmost humiliating for MCA to have a president that his political survival is dependant on the support of another party. It is unsurprising that Wee and MCA are subservient to Umno and its leaders. In Wee's usual weak and somewhat sleazy style, he is however willing to meet Umno leaders and work together but not to have the official coalition meeting. How low does Wee have to stoop and how low will MCA go just to support this weak and dishonourable president?

MIC' president, Vigneswaran; MCA's president Wee; Umno's acting president Mat Hasan

The above photo shows that Wee is celebrating Chinese New Year (lunar calendar) with Mat Hasan and Vigneswaran. This author however can not explain why Wee and Vigneswaran are wearing the same or similar type of wrist watches. Perhaps these are BN coalition's wrist watches.
