The Emperor's New Clothes

Golf is a sport. It is not a sport that everyone can play well. However, the people around you may give you the wrong impressions that you are a fantastic player.

Let's watch Video 1:

You would have thought Najib Razak is natural talent in golf when you heard the applauds and cheers from the people surrounding him. He was so good that he deserved a selfie from one of his fans.

Now, let's watch Video 2:

You would see a totally different situation in video 2. Najib Razak was given chances to repeat his putting again and again to give him a much need applaud for his 'success' finally. Video 2 showed his poor golfing skill but the people around him clapped loudly and cheered regardless.

Video 2 would have reminded you of the Danish story of The Emperor's New Clothes, or The Emperor Has No Clothes. Why would it not?

This is that kind of life that you wish to lead?

In the event that you can't watch the above videos. The alternatives are below:

How Rude can a Prime Minister be ?

There are about 195 countries in the world today. Many current and former leaders of these countries are statesmen or stateswomen, with the exception of some less than honourable or even rude leaders. In the lastest news, 1 leader of these countries has recently distinguished himself and stood out to be crude and vulgar in the public forum. Najib Razak, the prime minister of Malaysia has surely carved a reputation for himself as an unrefined person with low-minded characters. You can watch the following video, courtesy of Johor Times, to ascertain the facts stated:

Najib started by calling the opposition leader, Mahathir Mohamed, with vulgar phrase 'Kepala Bapa Kau'. It literally means Your Father's Head. It is a phrase deemed very rude, crude and vulgar (bahasa kasar) in Malay language. Najib admitted that the phrase 'Kepala Bapa Kau' was 'bahasa kasar'. He was unapologetic and said 'Kepala Bapa Kau' deliberately, even though he followed that phrase with 'sorry' with an unconvincing grin.

Ex-patriates and tourists in Malaysia are strictly advised against using 'Kepala Bapa Kau' in their communication with any of the locals, matters not their ethnicity. It is a commonly known unacceptable 'bahasa kasar' in Malaysia.

The prime minister went on to use 'stupid' to describe Mahathir and the opposition alliance. He re-emphasied his use of 'stupid' by calling Mahathir 'bodoh'. Stupid can be best used to describe the Malay word 'bodoh'.

A Chinese food restaurant in London Chinatown, Wong Kei, once known as the rudest restaurant in London, made rude manner as a way of attracting customers. "How rude do you think your waiter can be?" was their tagline. Malaysian tourism ministry should immediately promote Malaysian prime minister as an attraction to tourists around the world. They must catch a glimpse of this man, probably the rudest prime minster in the world. "How rude do you think our PM can be?" should be a Malaysian tagline.

Najib is no ordinary leader. He is one self-claimed moderate Muslim in international forum that is hard to come by and constantly perplexing many Malaysians. Despite his self-claim, he is quietly supportive of other leaders in his party who are behaving in violent manners and disregard for the rule of law. There have been many allegations of corruption, money laundering, murders surrounding the leadership of Najib.

Please watch the below if you can not play the above video:

Malaysian PM for the United States of America

This is the best that Trump, the president of the United States of America (US), can hope for. The prime minister of Malaysia, a relatively small country in Asia, is pledging to strengthen the US's economy.

The people in Malaysia has actually chosen a prime minister who is determined to strengthen the US's economy. So much so that he had to fly almost 24 hours to meet Trump at Washington DC to pronounce his pledge to pump USD20 billion into the US's economy.  Imagine this. The US has a GDP per capita of USD52,000, while Malaysia has a GDP per capita of USD9,000. The US is the world's largest economy with the highest GDP.

US
Malaysia
GDP per capital
USD52,000
USD9,000

GDP or gross domestic product is a measurement of economic income in a country. Who requires help more?

It was not a trade talk as claimed by the Malaysian mainstream media. It was only a meeting worth 5 minutes and 50 seconds. There was no negotiation or discussion. It was only Najib presenting his pledge to Trump in the interest of the American economy. If you listened closely, Najib was behaving as if he was pledging to his boss what he intended to do, i.e. to strengthen the US's economy.

Trump was happily nodding away and said yes to the pledge by Najib. If you wanted to be cynical, you might have suspected that the content of the pledge was most likely written by Trump's daughter or son in law.

You can alternatively watch it on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0YDkEhvsNE

Najib, who is also known as MO1 (Malaysian Official 1) in an investigation into money laundering by the  US Department of Justice, is pledging USD3-4 billion to help Trump's infrastructure projects. The most famous infrastructure project by Trump is the wall that will divide the US and Mexico. Who say the Americans or the Mexicans are paying for the wall after all?

Its Malaysians paying for the much publicized wall by Trump!!

Are you embarrassed as a Malaysian?

1 Malaysia, Several Murders and Many Corruptions

This is '60 minutes', a current affair program aired by the 9Now TV network in Australia. It is a shocking news about a murder made in Malaysia.

You can also view it on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maJx0r6R-Q4

On the other hand, this news equals to no news in Malaysia. 2 bodyguards of Malaysian prime minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor, were convicted. While the case was to be heard by the highest court in Malaysia, one of them, Sirul, was able to take a plane at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia and left for Australia. The police force and immigration had 'totally no clue' that he bought air ticket, got his immigration clearance, and boarded an airline owed by a Malaysian tycoon. The other murderer, Azilah, is seeking a pardon from the Malaysian authority for his crime and is likely to succeed.

Other reported deaths linked to the Malaysian prime minister included Kevin Morais, PI Bala, etc. Former attorney general, Abdul Gani's driver was also shot and wounded as recently as August 30, 2017, as a possible warning to Gani.

Malaysia was once known as one of the Asian tigers, an economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia, but it is better known for murders and corruption nowadays.

'Ridiculous' Has A New Name In Malaysia?

Things are happening quickly in Malaysia. The once revered Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is now a subject of ridicule and insults. He led the ruling regime, dominated by UMNO (United Malays National Organisation), in Malaysia and became the longest serving prime minister. Mahathir was the president of UMNO and the prime minister of Malaysia for 22 years. As a result of his contribution to the nation-building, he was given the title 'Bapa Pemodenan Malaysia' or 'Father of Malaysian Modernization' in 2003.

Mahathir is however now being investigated for numerous incidences during his time as the prime minister. The incidences happened 20 to 30 years ago. Umno and its pool of leaders did not seem to know that these incidences happened at that time. No accusation of abuses or wrongdoings was ever hurled against Mahathir prior this. He is now accused of money speculation in 1992; Memali incidence where villagers, in defense of a religious leader, were attacking policemen in 1985; blamed for having a father or grandfather with Indian ethnicity, etc.

These Umno leaders who are throwing allegations against Mahathir are aged 50 to 60 years. None of them however remembered any of the incidences for the last 20 to 30 years. They suddenly remembered them practically overnight.

There is only one thing that Mahathir is doing differently today. He has been making critical comments of the alleged abuses and money laundering cases of the Malaysian current prime minister, Mohammad Najib Razak.

Mahathir may be an extreme case where a former Malaysian prime minister is persecuted in Malaysia. The rest of Malaysians are not spared, unless they support Najib. The following ordinary Malaysians have been charged in the Kuala Lumpur Session Court for making comments about Najib, perhaps to his displeasure:

  • Recruiter Nor Sabariah Abdul Kadir, 29, was reportedly accused of leaving a comment about Najib on Facebook page
  • Storekeeper Ng Thai Quen, 19, was accused of posting an edited image of Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, on his Facebook page
  • Roti canai seller Mazlan Yusoff was accused of posting an article titled “Zimbabwe Today Is M’sia Tomorrow” with an edited photo of Najib and China’s former leader Mao Ze Dong.

It is not surprising that some UMNO members call their party United Mohammad Najib Organisation, and not United Malays National Organisation.

What is Wrong with the World?

BREAKING NEWS, June 27, 2017:

Attorney-General of Malaysia, Mohamed Apandi Ali today described the latest United States of America (USA)'s Department of Justice (DOJ) civil lawsuits related to the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), as politically motivated.

It must be hard to run a good and clean government. You have so many countries which are envious of you. They constantly make politically motivated civil and criminal investigations and charges against you. The country in question is Malaysia. You hear how Switzerland, the USA, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, etc have been relentlessly investigating alleged wrongdoing of 1MDB with a political purpose of damaging the impeccable reputation of Malaysia, in particular, its prime minister, Najib Razak. Najib is the founder and the person in charge of 1MDB.

You just cannot believe how these European, American and Asian countries can be working together to tarnish the good reputation and governance of Malaysia. These countries seriously have nothing better to do?

Can you imagine that Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, has a dedicated page on 1MDB scandal? Click on the below to read about it:

The prime minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak, is a self-claimed golf buddy of president Trump of the USA. This did not stop the DOJ from seeking to recover more than $1.5 billion obtained from corruption involving 1MDB. Najib even has a signed photograph of Trump and himself on his desk. The supporters of Najib are crying foul!

The prominent celebrities of Hollywood such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Miranda Kerr, the beneficiaries of gifts allegedly purchased with misappropriated 1MDB funds, have handed over 1MDB-linked assets worth millions of US dollars to the DOJ. I have to say that I pity Miranda Kerr who spent a year dating Low Taek Jho (Jho Low), the person helping Najib and 1MDB, but received 'disappearing' illegal gifts from him instead. She must have felt cheated.

When will the world stop the endless politically motivated moves against Malaysia? Apparently, corruption and money laundering are not necessarily illegal in Malaysia. They are loosely called as donation. They are all just donations. What is wrong with the rest of the world...?

How Corrupt is Malaysia?

This one simple question about Malaysia can get you plenty of news, articles and Youtube videos from all over th world. You will find out that Malaysia is the only country from Southeast Asia that is in the list of the top 5 most corrupt countries in the world.

The TIMES, a global publication, recently stated that Malaysia is the 2nd most corrupt country in the world only losing out to Brazil in its These 5 Facts That Explain the State of Global Corruption. Thankfully Malaysia is ahead of China, the other country from Asia in the top 5 list. Yes, you read me correctly. Malaysia is way ahead of China that is only in forth position (No. 4). Malaysians is still holding the title of the most corrupt country in Asia!!!

Malaysia has been in the top 2 rankings in the world since Najib Razak took over as the prime minister. It was only in 2013 that Malaysia held the crown of the world champion in corruption. Malaysia really does not need any Olympic medal to put the country as one of the top countries on the world map.

Reading about Malaysia is sometimes not as mesmerizing as watching a Youtube video. This is a concise  3 minute video below that you should watch:

If you are willing to spare just 9 minutes, you can watch a more established TV Channel 4 news broadcasted in the United Kingdom:

Corruption in Malaysia is seemingly good for British businesses. If you think the United Kingdom is serious about anti-corruption practices, please watch the British Channel 4 news below and think again.

The reality in life is that no one will help you unless you help yourself. Malaysia will continue to be one of the most corrupt nations in the world unless the Malaysians are willing to stand up against the corrupt regime and its practices.

Making Malaysia Famous Around the World

To Love is to Marry?
To Love is to Rape so that you can Marry her!

The above remarks may seem ridiculous but that is the philosophy behind the arguments of a Malaysian Islamic court judge turned law-maker, Shabudin Yahaya. He is a strong supporter of prime minister Najib Razak, the leader of the ruling regime in Malaysia, Barisan Nasional (BN) which is dominated by United Malay National Organisation (Umno). Let's see some of his remarks:

"When we discuss 12- and 15-year-olds, we don't see their physical bodies because some children aged 12 or 15, their bodies are like 18-year-old women,... Some girls who reached puberty when they were as young as nine years old. Hence, it was not 'physically and spiritually' a barrier for her to marry."

"There was nothing wrong with a rape victim marrying the rapist as it could serve as a 'remedy' to the increasing number of social problems."

"Although rape is a criminal offence, the rapist and the victim should be given a second chance to turn a new leaf in life."

"Perhaps through marriage they can lead a healthier, better life. And the person who was raped does not necessarily have a bleak future. She will have a husband, at least, and this could serve as a remedy to her."

"The girl (victim) becomes safer when she is married rather than when she is left alone. Don't assume they (rapists) remain bad people,"

Crime of rape can be justified as long as he is willing to marry her. Seriouly? Shabudin Yahaya denied his remarks a few days later by blaming the journalists for misquoting him. "The media has taken his words out of context," he added.

Shabudin Yahaya got away unscathed despite his upmost immoral and degrading remarks. How would he be misquoted? You can listen to his remarks in Malay here:

You can alternatively listen to the summary below:

Najib Razak might have made Malaysia famous worldwide for the alleged money-laundring cases by his brainchild, 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) the last 2 years.  His lieutenant has certainly made Malaysia famous again for his life philosophy allegedly based on Islam.

Shabudin Yahaya caused quite a stir around the world as you can see below:

Malaysia's Got Talent! - Raja Bomoh Sedunia

Malaysia is a truly blessed country. She has a bomoh (shaman) that has been protecting the peace of the country and the welbeing of her people. This is Raja Bomoh Sedunia (World Shaman King), Ibrahim Mat Zin. Please give a round of applause for his hardwork, the peace and welfare enjoyed in Malaysia over the last 70 years

On 12th March 2017, Raja Bomoh was there to protect Malayasia when the country had a tense diplomatic row with North Korea on the alleged assassination of Kim Jong-nam or Kim Chol, the elder brother of the North Korean supreme leader, Kim Jong-un.

Raja Bomoh Sedunia voluntarily performed a ritual to protect Malaysa. He declared, "We don't have modern weapons like (North) Korea. If we go to war with weapons, we will lose. But we use ancient methods to fence the air, the earth and the water, so that missiles will go missing and not reach Malaysia."

He genuinely believed that he was always there when the country needed him.

Please watch the ritual below to understand its intricacy:

You can read more at the below link:

In 2015, he performed another ritual to ease the haze problem when Malaysia was shrouded by it due to the prvalent dry spell. He was truly a 'friend' indeed when Malaysia was in need. Please watch the ritual below:

The Raja Bomoh Sedunia was also the person who tried to find the ill-fated airplane, MH370 of Malaysian Airlines, with his ritual, when the airplane went missing in 2014. Watch the video below on the ritual fully explained by Raja Bomoh Sedunia (in Malay language) himself.

Alternatively, you only have to spend 24 seconds to watch one part of the ritual:

Malaysia has been world famous in recent years for many bizarre , ludicrous and scandalous news. Travel to or stay in Malaysia? Be prepared. Expect the unexpected!

Now You Can Be An Auditor Too !

NOW EVERYONE CAN FLY (Slogan of AirAsia)

NOW EVERYONE CAN BE AN AUDITOR (Slogan of Malaysia?)

We once thought that you would have to go through stringent training to be a pilot to fly a plane.

We also thought that you would have to go through strenuous accounting training to be an accountant or auditor.

Little did we know that one would not be rquired to have any accounting or auditing training to be an auditor. Malaysia has made that possible.

Enter Madinah Mohamad who is now holding the highest governmental audit position as the Malaysian auditor general. Although she has worked in several governmental positions but none related to audit, accounting, economics or commerce. Her academic qualifications are human resource and political science. With due respect, she gains little confidence from the peole, if any, that she is qualified or capable to carry out her audit job scope.

In the legal fraternity, there is a saying that 'justice must be done and justice must be seen to be done'. I will say here that 'audit must be done and audit must be seen to be done'. You can not possibly believe that a proper audit can be done or seen to be done by Madinah, can you?

Madinah has nonetheless been officially appointed by Najib Razak, prime minister of Malaysia (aka MO1 or Malaysian Official 1). This country, with MO1 as its leader,  has created history by appointing for the first time ever someone with no accounting or auditing background as the auditor general.

Upon investigation, Madinah is found to be the beloved wife of MO1's staunch supporter cum politician, Rizuan Abdul Hamid, who has openly declared that he would die for MO1. Conflict of interest?

The irony is that Malaysian listed companies are required to have an audit committee with someone having accounting or auditing qualification as the chairman of the committee to safeguard good governance and ensure proper audit work is done on the company's activities. However, the head of its governmental audit institution does not have to be an accountant or auditor.

MO1 has swiftly replaced several key posts of crucial governmental agencies in Malaysia since the debacle of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) surfaced internationally due to probes and prosecutions against 1MDB and its connected persons for offences related to money-laundry and corruption in the USA, Switzerland, Singapore, the UK, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, etc. 1MDB was is brainchild of MO1. Jho Low (Low Taek Jho) who is allegedly hiding in Taiwan now has helped MO1 'illegally' move many billion US Dollars out of Malaysia and shift the money around the world to eliminate traces and avoid detection.

In his wish to cover up 1MDB scandals in Malaysia, the chiefs of the following regulatory institutions, which could have or could potentially investigate 1MDB transactions, have all been replaced by MO1 in the last 2 years:

  • Attorney General, Malaysia
  • Governor of Bank Negara, central bank of Malaysia,
  • Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission
  • Auditor General, Malaysia

Supporters of MO1 claimed that Madinah would be assisted by a large team of competent auditors in her office at national audit department. We agree but why none of these competent auditors is promoted? Adding insult to injury, they are now forced to assist an incompetent person. Imagine you sit on a plane where the pilot is not qualified to fly. Do you feel safe?

Supporters of MO1 also claimed that Indonesia and Singapore have once appointed non-accounting or non-auditing person to be auditor general. Indonesia and Singapore were not known for the independence of their auditor general. Why do they compare Malaysia with the weakest of all other ruling governments when it comes to governmental governance. MO1's supporters might as well say that North Korea does not even have an auditor general and Malaysia does not require one too. Why bother, right?

The media in Malaysia, under the control of MO1's ruling party, has vigorously black-out all unfavorable news emanating from 1MDB. The people in the USA, UK, Singapore or even China would probably know more about the scandalous details of 1MDB than Malaysians now.

You must google or search for '1mdb scandal' to know more and the latest

A Dictatorship in Democracy's Clothing

The Barisan Nasional (BN), the ruling regime controlling Malaysia as the federal government, lost several state government to the opposition during the elections in 2008 and again in 2013. One of the economically well-off state lost to the opposition was Penang. It is the 2nd most developed state after Selangor state.

It seems clear to leaders from the BN ruling regime, dominated Umno (United Malay National Organisation), that they do not stand a chance of wrestling Penang from the opposition, Pakatan Harapan, in a clean and fair election. Consequently, an Umno minister, Tengku Adnan, mooted the idea that Penang should be made part of the federal territories (FT) under the purview of the BN controlled federal government. Although he went on to suggest that Langkawi and certain parts of Malacca should also be made part of the FT, he was obviously eyeing the jewel of the crown, Penang.

Tengku Adnan, as the appointed but not elected minister of FT, is known to have substantially benefited from approving many property development projects in Kuala Lumpur, which is the main and original federal territory. The property market in Kuala Lumpur is entering a supply glut, and it's all thanks to him. It is unsurprising that he wants to benefit from the rapid development in Penang too.

From the perspective of democracy, it is disturbing that a senior leader from the BN ruling regime, which has failed to win over the heart of Penangites, is trying to re-capture Penang through the backdoor by the use of federal regulations and gerrymandering. These 'soft' tactics are likely to be exhausted before the power and money hungry leaders from the federal regime move on to the 'hard' tactics of deploying military force by the use of cannons, tanks and fighter jets. It would certainly be a short-lived civil war as Penang state does not have any armed forces. Once Penang has fallen, Selangor state will be the next target. It will only be days before all the states in Malaysia are federalized.

While it may seem unthinkable for now that this BN federal government will declare civil war and take control of all the states against the wish of Malay Rulers of each state and the people, it is not something that the people should totally rule out. The prime minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak, has managed to secure the passing of his National Security Council Act 2016 by the parliament. This new Act effectively gives him unchecked and far-reaching powers to take control of the country. Let's not forget that Najib has very strong influence over the Malaysian military. He was the defense minister and cultivated his control over the armed forces for many years.

The people of Malaysia must cautiously guard against any further abuse of power the BN regime. Malaysians have to rise to the occasion. Make your vote counts before it is too late. As long as BN is in power, democracy will remain as a talk and not as a practice in this country.

Ruled by MO1 or Rule of Law ?

We have heard of bizarre news of how 1 man, better known as MO1 (Malaysian Official 1), who happened to be the prime minister of the country and had channeled billions from the country into his personal bank account via a corporate vehicle called 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad). He was alleged to have influenced the murder of several key people in that country. It is equally disturbing to know that supporters of this MO1 are acting in the same manner as him.

Introducing Jamal Yunos. He is the divisional head of Umno (United Malays National Organisation), Sungai Besar, and a known staunch supporter of this MO1. He is a failed businessman with bankrupt grilled fish (Sekinchan Ikan Bakar) restaurant chain. The tripadvisor reviews of this now defunct restaurant is here.

Jamal is leading a group of MO1's supporters called Red Shirts. These supporters are known for their violent acts against anyone that cannot agree with the conduct of MO1. They have kicked, harassed, assaulted and injured several Malaysians in their quest to show support for MO1. However, none of them have been prosecuted in the court by the Malaysian police force and public prosecutor.

Jamal is also involved in the illegal business of providing hotel services in Sekinchan. When his hotel was closed down by the local council for operating without licence, he made the following claims to justify his illegal business:

  • He applied but the licence was not granted. Hence, he proceeded with the hotel business anyway.
  • The hotel was meant to be a gift to his mother. All his profit is given to his mother. Hence, he was entitled to operate the hotel.
  • There was some unsubstantiated political reason for the local authority to reject his operating licence. However, Jamal himself could not refute the reason given for rejecting his application. Despite that, he went on to operate the hotel.

Jamal 're-opened' his hotel, which had been shut-down and sealed by the local council, on the next day after the hotel closure . He organised a ribbon-cutting ceremony and removed the tape used by the local council to seal the property. “We are now operating,” he declared after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by 20 to 30 of his close friends and supporters.

If you could not see much logic behind his arguments, you would not be alone. I could not either. I suspected that his mother could only be ashamed of a son who is prone to illegal activities. Jamal has got away with his 'crime' because he is a much loved supporter of MO1. No police officer dares to touch him without the blessing of MO1. As a result, Jamal is immune to criminal sanctions or kebal (in Malay language).

Subsequent to the closure of his hotel which has since reopened, Jamal embarked on a new role as a vigilante against any business or premises that, he believes, is operating without the approval of the local council. He 'raided' several premises and was out to show that the local council had also failed to shut down other deemed 'illegal' businesses. The state police chief warned Jamal against taking the laws into his own hands, but no action was taken against him for raiding and harassing the businesses. The police force merely made comments without the courage to act against Jamal because of his backing by MO1.

When the so called elected leader, MO1, is behaving like an emperor of medieval days, his supporters are no less than fierce warlords. This country is no longer governed by the rule of law. It is ruled by MO1.
